Dr. Tadiwanashe Maravanyika

Physiotherapist & Global Healthcare Entrepreneur

Chandigarh University, India · Zimbabwe

A dedicated and versatile Physiotherapy professional, Dr. Tadiwanashe Maravanyika holds a Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from Chandigarh University and has trained at Tier-1 medical facilities across India, including Max Super Speciality Hospital and Shalby Multi-Speciality Hospital, Mohali.

A former national-level multi-sport athlete for Zimbabwe — representing the country in Cricket, Hockey and Rugby — he brings an elite understanding of musculoskeletal health, sports rehabilitation, and high-performance patient recovery to every aspect of EMCG's clinical operations.

His journey across continents exposed him to a stark contrast in healthcare accessibility between India's advanced infrastructure and Africa's emerging markets. This realization became the founding catalyst for Everlast MedCore Group — a conglomerate designed to bridge that gap at scale.

Geriatric Functional Mobility Study

“To Measure Level of Functional Activity Amongst Geriatric Population Using Time Up and Go Test”

This research demonstrated that the TUG test is a highly reliable and feasible tool for assessing functional mobility and fall risk in elderly patients. The dual-task TUG showed significantly enhanced ability to identify high-risk individuals with cognitive decline or multitasking difficulties.

Both tests proved sensitive to age-related physiological deterioration of balance and mobility — and are simple enough to be used in resource-poor rural settings, forming the backbone for early fall-risk detection and rehabilitation planning across diverse geriatric populations.
